Why does our stomach growl?

tomach growling is the resultof the digestive process. During digestion, waves of muscle contractions move andpush the contents continually downwards. In addition to moving your meal, these  contractions also help churn food, liquid and different digestive juices together. Besides this, your stomach also empties itself after about two hours. This is when the empty stomach begins to producehormones that stimulate local nerves to send a message to the brain. The brain replies by signalling for the digestive muscles to restart the process again. So, this time your tummy growls because it is empty. Subscribe to Child Project Helper by Email
