Zakumi

Zakumi is the mascot for FIFA World Cup 2010. Do you know how he got its name? Well, 'Za' stands for South Africa and 'kumi' translates into '10' in various languages across Africa.

Zakumi is a cute little leopard who is jolly, self confident, adventurous and spontaneous. He ha dyed his hair green as he felt it would be the perfect camouflage against the green of football pitch, just like his rosette spots are the perfect camouflage when hunting in the wilderness.
