Muscles are made of bunches of muscular tissue held tightly together. Muscular tissues is very fibrous, so that a muscle is somewhat like a bunch of rubber bands bound tightly together. The muscle tissue is made up of cells shaped like spindles.
The bones of the human body cannot move by themselves. For that, they require the help of the muscles. The muscles of the body move the bones and there are more than 600 muscles to move the parts of the skeleton. Muscles make up more than half the weight of the human body.
