Copper is essential for plants, for without it, the chlorophyll content of leaves would be reduced, turning them yellow. The plant would not be able to bear fruits, and it would die.
Copper is necessary for animal life and human life too. Copper is instrumental for infant growth, bone strength, red and white blood cell maturation, iron transport, cholesterol and glucose metabolism, heart muscle contraction, and brain development.
