The Upanishath are part of the Hindu scriptures which primarily discuss meditation and philosophy, and are seen as religious instructions by most schools of Hinduism.

Studying the Upanishths is like sitting down near a spritual teacher in order to receive instruction. They are not concerned with gods, worship or sacrifice. Insted , they tried to explain the world and the cycle of life and death. They were writen around 600 B.C, and are some times called 'Vedantha',which means 'the end of the Vedas'.
