If you thought all dinosaur eggs were huge, you are in for a surprise. Many were surprisingly small-maybe about the size and shape of large potato. So baby dinosaurs must have been pretty small too when they were born.
Some dinosaurs laid their eggs in straight lines, others in layers of circles. There were also dinosaurs who laid their eggs in the nest of other dinosaurs, like the cuckoo lays its eggs in the crows nest! There was even a dinosaur that lived by crushing and eating the eggs of other dinosaurs. It was called the Oviraptor, and as you can imagine, it was a very unpopular dinosaur indeed !
